MY MOTTO
CURRENT POSITION
Mitey Editing: Affordable editing for indie Catholic authors
Founder, Editor
Jun 2016 – Present
Mitey Editing provides affordable professional editing for independent Catholic writers. All fees are negotiable, because my goal is to help as many Catholic writers as possible, especially those with a limited budget for editing. I offer editing services at every level, from developmental editing to final proofreading, for fiction as well as non-fiction, with other author services available as needed.
Nicholas Writing and Editorial Services
Freelance editor and writer
Nov 2015 – Present
I am a freelance editor and writer, using many years experience as a writing teacher, a writer, and an active member of a writing critique group, to help writers polish their work for maximum effectiveness.
Recent editing projects include a masters' thesis, book review blog posts, an apocalyptic novel, and developmental editing of a book on political philosophy.
I also seek ghostwriting opportunities, to help non-writers "get their story out there." Many people have experience and expertise they wish to share with the world, but lack the skills, confidence, or time to write their own books -- I am here to help.
I can also do translation from Spanish, French, or Latin to English, although I do not actively seek such projects.L. A. Nicholas, author
Novelist/Author
2012 – Present
I am a self-published author with a bestselling book in Amazon's green housekeeping category. Find my author page on Amazon. I am also working on several book-length and shorter works, fiction and non-fiction, intended for publication (traditionally or independently).
Writing projects I currently have in hand include:- A science fiction trilogy that explores the value of history in the distant future
- A contemporary change-of-life novel, introducing a character who will become the focus of a series as a thoughtful amateur sleuth along the lines of Alexander McCall Smith's Isobel Dalhousie and Precious Ramotswe.
- A pocket prayer book which will incorporate familiar Catholic devotions as well as treasures from the Anglican tradition
- A book on natural remedies that can replace common over-the-counter drugs
- Several short stories -- one literary, one mystery, one science fiction
